Me, myself and I

Is happiness the cause of success or success the cause of happiness? It might seem contra-intuitive, but success doesn’t necessarily make you happier! Still, the opposite is true.  Research shows that when you feel happy, you will be more successful at work. So let us give you one message: go for it, increase your happiness level and experience ‘the happiness advantage’ in your job.  But how do you do that? We believe it’s all about achieving good results, reinforcing your relationships and ‘happy things’ …

‘My career’, a session that suddenly surfaced after the crisis of 2009. Why? Because people realized that they had to get a grip on their own career, rather than relying on their employer to take care of them. During this session we stimulate our participants to no longer hold their breaths and to just get started with their strengths, dreams, ambitions, … We motivate them to take control of their own career!

We  challenge people to reflect on how they are living their lives during this session: ‘What does your life look like: like that of a sprinter (short energy burst followed by longer periods of recovery), or that of a marathon runner (longer periods of energy with no opportunities for recovery along the way)?’ The answer?  Most people compare their lives with one long exhausting marathon ... What we promote during this session is that you design your life like a sprinter: regular short efforts, followed by sufficient recovery moments!

Whenever we meet people again after a time management session, we notice that they all have one thing in common: they are more relaxed, they tell us how they experience more peace at work, ... They found a way to get back in control and on top of things. That peace of mind, together with the practical tips and tricks that they put into practice, is what we aim for during this session!

Time management

‘What got you here, won’t get you there’. This session will confront you with the boundaries of your comfort zone, and leave a bigger impact than you would first expect. Like for example the sales manager who had aspirations for the VP position but realized after this session that he would require more technical knowledge. Or the sympathetic team leader who realized after this session that she urgently had to increase her impact if she wanted to realize that new project, … During this session we show the participants what the possibilities are. The only thing they have to do is take it to the next level and step out of their comfort zone. Don’t be afraid to develop yourself, that’s what this session is about.

Self-development

At CUTE we always focus on the strengths, the talents, the bright spots, ... of our participants. And what do we often notice? That most people underestimate themselves when it comes to their talents. They will say for example that they aren’t the creative type at work, but later you find out that they are home decorators in their free time! This session is about how you as a manager can create an environment where not only one, but all the talents of your team members are put to optimal use!  Because when you build on people’s strengths, you become amazed of all the things your team is capable of.
